Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our house rules and conditions of stay to ensure all guests enjoy a pleasant, restful, and respectful stay. Use of our facilities is at your own risk. By reading and acknowledging this document, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Check-In & Check-Out Times

  • Check-in: From 14:00
  • Check-out: By 10:00am
  • Early check-in or late check-out cannot be guaranteed unless an additional night is booked.

General Indemnity

Shama Guest Farm takes care to provide a safe and secure stay. However, neither Shama Guest Farm, its owners, management, nor employees accept liability for any loss or damage to persons or property.

  • Day visitors are not allowed without prior arrangement.

Valuables

  • Shama Guest Farm is not liable for loss or damage to property.
  • Please keep your unit and vehicle locked when unattended.

Loss or Damage to Property

Any damage to Shama Guest Farm property (structural or movable) caused by a guest or visitor will be charged to the responsible guest. Full reimbursement is required prior to checkout.

Kindly note our stuffed wild animals are only for display purposes and must not be touched or played with.

Respect Our Guests & Facilities

  • Please respect our facilities and farmhouse.
  • Our septic system is delicate; do not flush foreign objects.
  • Refrain from littering.
  • No excessive noise after 22:00.
  • Complaints or failure to comply may result in damage charges or removal from the property.

Right of Admission

Shama Guest Farm is private property, and right of admission is reserved.

Self-Catering

Shama Guest Farm is a self-catering facility with a fully equipped kitchen. Guests are welcome to prepare their own meals which can be enjoyed in the dining room and / or outside on the patio picnic benches provided.

Shama Guest Farm takes pride in providing you with a beautifully furnished farmhouse. It is especially important to us that no eating or drinking takes place in the rooms and no eating in the main lounge to avoid damage to the leather furniture. Guests are kindly requested to respect to rule especially in the case of children accompanying you.

Smoking Policy

  • Shama Guest Farm has a no-smoking policy.
  • Smoking inside or outside the premises is strictly prohibited.
  • Non-compliance will result in a R3,000 penalty fee.

Pet Policy


No pets are allowed.
