Shama Guest Farm – Pet Policy for Small Dogs
At Shama Guest Farm, we understand that pets are part of the family, and we are happy to welcome small dogs (under 10kg) to enjoy the farm experience with you.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable stay for all our guests – both human and furry – we kindly ask that you review and follow our pet policy:
Allowed:
- One small dog per booking (unless prior arrangements are made)
- Dogs must be fully house-trained and non-aggressive
- Well-behaved dogs are welcome inside the cottage under supervision
Guidelines During Your Stay:
- Leads Required: Please keep your dog on a leash when outside your accommodation, especially near other guests, livestock, and wildlife.
- Clean Up: Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets – please dispose of waste in designated bins.
- Bedding & Furniture: Kindly bring your dog’s own bedding. Dogs are not allowed on furniture or beds.
- Never Left Alone: Pets should not be left unattended in the cottage or on the property at any time.
- Noise Consideration: Excessive barking or disruptive behaviour may result in an early departure at the guest’s expense.
- Health & Safety: Your dog should be up to date with vaccinations and tick/flea treatment.
Not Permitted:
- Dogs that are not socialized or display aggressive behaviour
- Bathing pets in the guest bathrooms
- Access to certain farm areas, especially where livestock are kept
